VentureOff, LLC ("VentureOff", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://ventureoff.co/ (the "Site") and the programs and services offered through it (the "Services"). We are based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information about visitors, program participants, and the people who contact us. By using the Site or the Services you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information.
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not see or store your raw password.
- Profile and onboarding information. As you set up and move through a program you provide details about your background, goals, and situation. Content you create in the platform is stored with your account.
- Contact and booking submissions. When you use our contact form or book a call you provide your name, email, phone number, company, and any message you write.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage information. We collect basic information about how the Site is used through Google Analytics, described under Cookies and Analytics below.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to do the following.
- Provide, operate, and improve the Site and the Services.
- Create and manage your account and deliver your program.
- Respond to your messages and call requests.
- Process payments and manage enrollments.
- Send you service messages and, where permitted, marketing email.
- Understand how the Site is used so we can make it better.
- Protect the Site, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following ways.
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run VentureOff. These include Google Firebase for authentication, database, and hosting, Stripe for payments, Brevo for transactional and marketing email, and Google for analytics and fonts. These providers process information on our behalf.
- Your organization. If your employer or institution sponsors your participation, we may share program and enrollment information with them as part of that arrangement.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of VentureOff and others.
- Business transfers. If VentureOff is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies that help us measure things like page views and general usage patterns. This information helps us improve the Site.
You can limit this in a few ways. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across sites. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. If we add one, this policy will be updated to describe it.
Marketing Email
If you opt in, or where otherwise permitted, we may send you marketing email about VentureOff. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing message, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop essential service messages related to your account.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may retain some information after that to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including working with established providers such as Firebase and Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep it confidential.
Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update much of your account information directly in the platform. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
Children
The Site and the Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
